  What follows and the response is my opinion.The words that best describe this company to me are disorganized and dishonest. The job was several weeks late due to a complete lack of project management, they damaged our property, they displayed a complete disregard for our time and the management was rude any time we tried to communicate with them. The crews were regularly several hours late to our home and we had 6 no call no show days two of which were on Saturdays when they made a point to ask us to be available. Several of the promises the owner made during the sales visit went unfulfilled many of which we thought were insignificant enough that they did not need to be captured on the contract. If you make the mistake of dealing with this company make sure every nail is accounted for in writing. Up until the end of the project we made every payment on time despite their nonsense and poor performance. After the damage was caused to our bathroom they acknowledged it and promised to make it right. In the end they refused to perform the repairs and threatened to place a lien on our property if we did not deliver the final check regardless of the damage and the job not being finished. ****************Comments to owners response*********** The owners response to this review only reinforces my opinion and the comments made previously. Here are additional details supporting my original opinion. We were scheduled to be the first stop at 8:30am on the days that the crews were late. Their contract details this as the earliest start time so the second stop excuse is not valid. Furthermore a no call no show is still a no call no show if you do not "CALL OR SHOW" no excuse to leave your customer waiting around till late afternoon after repeated un-returned calls. There was no "change of mind" on the paint grade trim. The entire house is wood trim. The owner came to our site and reviewed it. The paint grade trim was one of many things they tried to sneak by us after our verbal agreements during the sales call. Again if you decide to deal with them leave nothing out and take their word for nothing. The 4 sets of trim that were replaced around the door were replaced due to the damage this company caused. In addition the trim was replaced twice due to poor workmanship . Per their own statement they don't give anything free away so why replace it if it was not damaged during construction? They failed to fully correct the damage after assuring us they would take care of it, they repeatedly said it would be corrected up until the last day of the job. There was no acceptance and the finish carpenter that came to site stated that the damage could not be corrected and the casing must be replaced as well as the outer trim. This is not an issue of the final payment which has been sent to them certified mail as reported to their project manager because we want a record that this was closed out on our end we have no trust in this organization. The statement of "go ahead and come after me" is an outright lie and the avenues to resolve disputes are a joke. Good luck getting anyone to have a civil discussion about issues without lying to you. When they requested payment on the spot I asked again to speak with the owner to discuss the damage. I was told that if payment wasn't sent they would be placing a lien on the house. There was certainly no mention of "4 avenues" to resolve disputes. This is one of the most dishonest unreliable companies I have had the misfortune to deal with. They only reason I waste my time responding to this is I hope to save someone else the trouble we have had. We have reported this situation and our treatment to the IL States Attorney general and the Better Business Bureau.

  Thanks Express for all that you did to make our two bathrooms from the late 70's to be full and modern now. Everyone we worked with was great with a lot of work being put in by all. It's nice having that "hotel" feeling every time we walk in them. Can't wait to somehow get this paid off so we can have you do our kitchen. Thanks again to all, especially Bill Jr, Ryan, Rich, Jake and the rest of the team that I can't remember off hand.

  Professional family owned business with great workers. Kitchen was designed and project executed on time. On the spot modifications as needed without incurring any additional expense. Workers came in and did a take out of old kitchen in less than a day, electric and plumbing followed next day, cabinets were delivered and installed following drywall replacement. Work ethic with crew was a refreshing experience. Nice to see a professional job done. Follow-up adjustments made after floors and painting (by other contractors) were finished. I highly recommend this company.
